Calis Beach is a peaceful touristic hotspot perfectly located right at the entrance of Fethiye. It’s just a 10-minute drive to the centre of Fethiye, but the promenade is more laidback here – it’s the hub of the town and where you’ll find the best shops, bars and restaurants. There are also the stunning sunset views from the sand-and-shingle beach.

At Calis Beach, you get a 4-kilometre stretch of dark sand and shingle. Windsurfing and kite-surfing are the big draws on the watersports front, while children can enjoy the Aqua City waterpark 5 minutes’ walk away. Another option, a 15-minute walk away, is secluded Koca Calis. It comes with 5 kilometres of sand and it was used as a location in the Bond movie, Skyfall.

Calis Beach is also attractive when it comes to nightlife, as it has a variety of bars and trendy restaurants attracting romantic couples as well as family members from all age groups who can dine and watch the sunset from seafront venues as well as all the international sporting events and you can also fınd many type of shops on its vibrant promenade.

A 15-minute drive gets you to the centre of Fethiye or to the hills behind Fethiye and Calis where there are coastal nightclubs that play a mix of Turkish and Internatıonal music 5am.

There are 4th-century tombs built into the mountainside at Fethiye, a 15-minute drive from here. Next door to the tombs is a fortress built by European Crusaders – from below the crumbling tower you can see right across to Fethiye. Or 40 minutes by car gets you to the Saklikent Gorge, a 300-metre deep canyon that stretches for 18 kilometres.
